How to Forward Calls From CallRail to Voice Assistant

Forward your CallRail tracking number(s) to Smith.ai


Use this set of instructions to update the destination of a number that's not assigned to a call flow.
  1. Click the Settings icon on the left navigation bar.
  2. Choose the company whose tracking number you'd like to update.
  3. Click the pencil icon for the tracking number you’d like to update to go to its main configuration page.
  4. On the next screen, click the pencil icon in the upper-right of the Number Options menu.
  5. Under Forward Calls To, select Number and enter the number where you would like your calls forwarded.
  6. Your destination number must be a U.S. or Canada number or in the same country as your tracking number.
  7. Scroll to the bottom of the section and select Save to update your number.

Assigning call flows to tracking numbers


If you are using the Call Flow, the following instructions explain how to best set up your call forwarding.

  1. Click the Settings icon on the left navigation bar.
  2. Choose the company where you'd like to assign a call flow to a tracking number.
  3. Choose the call flow you’d like to assign to a tracking number in the “Forward Calls To” column.
  4. Click Save and update call flow on the prompt.
  5. In your Call Flow Builder, at the point when you want your calls to be forwarded to Smith.ai, you will want to use the Dial step. We recommend not using the Round Robin step, as this will not ensure your calls always are sent to Smith.
  6. Click Save to start your call forwarding.
