Forwarding calls from Google Voice to AI Receptionist
Google Voice may change its interface over time, so now we recommend just going to their instructions here to configure call forwarding rules:
Follow these instructions .
Important tips
- Ensure that all devices are switched off in your Google Voice Settings. Your Smith.ai number must be enabled for forwarding.
- Some users prefer ringing their cell first then failing over to the AI Receptionist. Google Voice doesn't currently support this directly.
- If your AI Receptionist transfers to you, the transfer number must be different from the Google Voice main line or you'll create a loop.
