How to connect Smith.ai to Make

We've broken down how to connect Smith.ai to Make. This article will cover each of these steps in detail:

  1. Getting your Smith.ai API keys
  2. Create a Scenario & Connection

Getting your Smith.ai API keys

  1. Go to your Smith.ai dashboard.
  2. Select the “Integrations” tab.
  3. Select Make from the list of integrations to begin the process.
  4. Press the Connect Make button.
  5. You'll be presented with an API token. Copy your API token by pressing the blue copy button. You'll use the API token later.

Creating a New Scenario

If this is your first time using Make, read our Best Practices for Make guide for tips.

  1. From the Make dashboard, click Create a new scenario.
  2. Click the plus sign. Search and select Smith.ai.
  3. Select the Trigger or Action you want to use. Smith.ai has 1 trigger for Voice Assistant. Make can be used to send data from Smith.ai to other applications using the trigger.

New Call Trigger - Triggers when Smith.ai agents complete a call and send a call summary. Spam calls do not trigger a scenario as they do not trigger an instant call summary.
  4. Next, create a connection.
    1. If you do not already have one, you'll click the "Create a Connection" button. In this example, we've selected the "New Calls" trigger and are connecting to it. Continue to step 5.
    2. If you already have a connection, click the "Add" button. Continue to step 5.
  5. To create a connection, name your connection and paste your API key.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Continue adding other apps and connections to build your scenario. Follow Make's guide on building scenarios.
  8. Schedule and activate your scenario.
