The transfer destination is where you would like calls to be routed (either to you or someone else). You can have 1 transfer destination for all caller types.
If you have not set up the transfer destination yet, you'll be prompted to do so when configuring different caller types and enabling transfers. This will be published to all caller types that have transfer the call set as their call actions.
Set up the Transfer Destination
- Go to the Call handling page by clicking on the phone icon in the navigation menu.
- Scroll down to the Transfer Destinations Section
- Click Add
- Add the name and phone number of the person you are transferring to.
- This can be a cell phone, your front desk, or any other number.
- DO NOT use a number that is or that you plan to use for forwarding to your business number. This will cause an infinite loop when transferring.
- Click Add.
Change the Transfer Destination
- Go to the Call Handling page by clicking on the phone icon in the navigation menu.
- Scroll down to the Transfer Destinations Section
- Click on Update transfer line.
- Change the name and/or phone number as needed.
- Click Update.
