How to send all callers to a single caller type

Do you receive only one type of call and don't need to identify different caller types? If you're only using AI Receptionist for existing clients, selecting this option ensures all incoming calls are treated as existing client inquiries. The AI Receptionist will skip unnecessary clarifying questions and immediately follow the configured workflow.


How to route all calls to one caller type

Follow these steps to configure your AI Receptionist to send all calls to a single caller type:



  1. Log into your AI Receptionist dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the "Instructions" tab.
  3. Select your preferred caller type. Click on "Configure" to open the settings.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the configuration window. Check the box labeled "I only expect this type of call" to enable single caller type routing. All other caller types will now be disabled.
  5. Save your settings.


Important Notes

  • No more caller identification questions. Since all calls are categorized under one type, AI Receptionist won’t ask callers to specify their identity—it will proceed directly to handling the inquiry.
  • Easily revert to default settings.If you need to allow multiple caller types again:
    • Click "Configure."
    • Scroll down and uncheck "I only expect this type of call."
    • Hit "Save."


This simple setup ensures a seamless experience for both you and your callers, making call management more efficient than ever.
