How to enable scheduling with AI Receptionist

Smith.ai's AI Receptionist can schedule appointments for your callers based on the calendar links you provide. Follow these simple steps to enable scheduling for different caller types.



  1. Log in to your dashboard.
  2. Navigate to the Instructions tab.
  3. Find the caller type you want to enable scheduling for (e.g., new clients, existing clients, etc.). Click Configure next to the selected caller type.
  1. Enable scheduling
    • Scroll down to the section labeled What should we do next?
    • Click on Schedule an Appointment.
  2. Enter your calendar link
    • Paste the public calendar link that callers will use to book appointments.
    • Ensure the link:
      • Is publicly accessible
      • Does not contain additional questions
      • Does not require payment
    • If the link has restrictions, the booking may not be successful.
  3. Enter a name for the calendar (e.g., "New Client Consultation" or "Existing Client 1-on-1").
  4. Click Save.

    You can add up to four different calendar links, one for each caller type. Repeat steps 3–6 for additional caller types if needed.
